Growth Studio is committed to digital accessibility. This site was built to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Here is where we stand, what we know is not yet there, and how to reach us.

Accessibility statement for growthstudio-hq.com

Growth Studio, LLC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility everyone including people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Measures to support accessibility

Growth Studio takes the following measures to support the accessibility of this website:

  • Accessibility was a build requirement from the first day of the project, not a review step added at the end.
  • The site was designed and developed by a Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA).
  • The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 Level AA were used as the target standard throughout design and development.
  • Semantic HTML, correct heading order, landmark regions, visible focus indicators, and keyboard operability were treated as baseline requirements for every page and component.
  • Forms were built with visible labels, programmatically associated error messages, and validation that announces problems to assistive technology.
  • Color combinations were checked for contrast before being used.
  • Third party tools used on the site were reviewed for their accessibility characteristics before being adopted.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. WCAG defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

This website was built to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. It is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Growth Studio does not promise or guarantee conformance. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the standard this site was built to meet, and the standard we measure ourselves against as the site grows.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you encounter an accessibility barrier here, or if you need a resource in a different format, please tell us:

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

This website is designed to be compatible with the current and previous major versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, used with current versions of assistive technologies including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.

This website is not designed for browsers more than two major versions behind current, or for Internet Explorer.

Technical specifications

Accessibility of this website relies on the following technologies working with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies installed on your device:

  • HTML
  • WAI-ARIA
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standard used.

Limitations and alternatives

Despite our efforts, there are limitations we know about. Below is a description of each, and what we do about it. Please contact us if you find a barrier that is not listed here.

  1. Member account interface (Memberstack). Account creation, login, password reset, email verification, and profile management are provided by Memberstack, a third party service. We control the styling of these screens but not their underlying markup, focus management, or announcements to assistive technology. We have not been able to independently verify that every Memberstack-rendered dialog meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. If you cannot complete signup, login, or a password reset, contact us using the details above and we will set up your account and access manually.
  2. Navigation dropdown menu. The account menu in the site navigation uses a component we have not yet completed a full keyboard and screen reader audit on. Every destination inside that menu is also reachable from links elsewhere on the site. If you cannot operate the menu, contact us and we will send you direct links.
  3. Video player (Vimeo). Recorded sessions and video resources are delivered through the Vimeo player. Vimeo states that its player meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA, supports keyboard operation and screen readers, and provides visible focus indicators. Independent reviewers have reported limitations, including player controls that hide during playback and are difficult to restore using a keyboard alone, and a captions menu whose current selection is conveyed visually. Vimeo also has no dedicated audio description track control. We do not control the Vimeo player and cannot modify it. If a video is not usable for you, contact us and we will provide a transcript or an alternative format.
  4. Captions and transcripts on member videos. Captions and transcripts are added by us to the videos in the member library. Where a recording has not yet been captioned, that work is in progress. Request any recording and we will prioritize captioning it for you.
  5. Downloadable and third party resources. Many library resources are design templates opened in third party tools, or documents intended to be customized in your own systems. We do not control the accessibility of those third party editing tools. Tell us which resource you need and we will work with you to get you a usable version.
